The Story

Eternity’s Irys is an LGBTQ+ tale of two men against the end of the world. It focuses a lot on psychological horror, graphic violence, found family, relationship building, and overcoming trauma.
Here’s the revised blurb with help from my wonderful Beta Readers:
Jeron lost all color and music in his life the day his lost his mother. For over two decades, he managed to run the family business, The Diner of Ortzuna, by himself. A superhuman feat on its own, but it was never enough for his scornful old man. Nothing ever would be and he knew it was foolish to hope for anything more.
Until he hit something with his mother’s truck. Something large, tentacled and… beautiful?
All at once, Sylus Synclaire shattered Jeron’s understanding of the world. Secrets of his life and the universe unravel before him.
And for the first time in his life since his childhood tragedy, Jeron feels love and hope on the edge of eternal darkness.

The Author

My name’s Tavorie and I’ve been writing since middle school. I currently live in Pittsburgh, PA with my asthmatic (and renally challenged) cat, Zucca. I have a useless college degree and work in hospital supply chain. It can be rough but it pays the bills.

“Eternit’s Irys” is my life’s work. After writing for over twenty years and completely rewriting this story from scratch at least five times, I’ve finally reached the version I’m most proud of. Is it perfect? No. Do I love it? Yes, and at this point, that’s all that matters.
I originally started “Eternity’s Irys” as a web series called “The Q’taxians” as an attempt to cope with a very difficult event in my life. It was born of a very personal place, but over the years it’s grown and evolved to become the story I’ve always wanted to tell. “Eternity’s Irys” is a much more liberated and honest telling of my tale.
I myself am no one of any grandeur or import. I just write so my characters can live.
I hope you can find some enjoyment in my work and if you do, consider checking out the book once it’s properly published!
Much love,
Tav
P.S.: Since you got this far, here’s the super secret pet tax page
